Talents… another rant
Lately, I have seen many people who waste their talents, who really don’t give all they got when they can, including myself. I mean, come on, when you go out onto the basketball court, or the football field, the treadmill, or enter in work or class, and you give everything you got.... you feel good! You really feel like you accomplished something! BUT, when you don’t, that’s when we have regrets, that’s when we get depressed! So why can’t we just use our talents and abilities the best we can and feel good ALL the time. Well there are always outside factors, but the truth is, I believe it all comes down to self-motivation which bases in satisfying our personal needs. Its like a salesman, the most successful salesmen are those that develop the ability to create needs in other people so that they purchase the product for sale. Its a simple process, no one needs the horribly expensive girl scout cookies that pass by our front porch every year, but we buy them, because they satisfy our needs! ha ha Now, what does all this have to do with talents? If we don’t feel the need to do our best, to study hard, work hard, to develop our talents whatever they are, we aren't going to progress very far. And we are not going to be very happy, ha ha, BUT if we can learn to recognize the need behind giving all you got, in everything, no one will be able to stop you from reaching your goals! You will become self motivated and have a focus on WHAT you want to achieve, and a vision of HOW to achieve it. Every day is a struggle, every day is a battle, and every day is a mountain to scale. We can fight, conquer and climb every day, and take another step to being the best we can be. Its a lifelong task, I plan to do it, one day at a time, one step at a time, because running ill never get there, but if I'm constant, I know I’ll get there.
